Job Description
Greenbush The Southeast Education Service Center is seeking applications for aSpecial Day Program Behavior Interventionist in the Leavenworth County Area.
Position will remain open until filled. Equal Opportunity Employer. Must have legal ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Job Summary:Evaluate plan and implement effective educational behavioral supports for students within the Day School Program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- MSW or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Kansas special education licensure/endorsement Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) School Psychologist and/or Master Level Psychologist.
- Current Kansas licensure.
- Experience with students K12 who have significant behavioral and/or mental health needs is preferred.
- Maintain current health and inoculation certificate on file in the central office.
- Valid drivers license.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be in good standing with partnering district(s) where program is located.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Participate as a team member in all evaluations reviews and reevaluation processes.
- Participate in developing and coordinating programming for students within the alternative day program and with other cooperating agencies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of effective individual education plans and other student goalsetting plans.
- Develop and implement appropriate social competencies for students.
- Report program progress regularly to the Program Director.
- Develop working relationships with administrators and teachers in participating day schools and cooperative agency personnel.
- Analyze and report student intervention program data and consult with teaching teams to advise on interventions based on data results.
- Participate in the planning of transitional programs for those served.
- Assist in collaborative planning with day school staff other disciplines and agencies.
General Functions:
- Must support the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center (SEKESC) mission goals and objectives.
- Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the ability to produce excellent work as requested by the executive team.
- Must assume responsibility for individual professional growth by staying current with literature research and/or practices.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in the ability to effectively and regularly communicate with Service Center employees and constituents.
- Must complete all assignments in a timesensitive manner as determined by Supervisor.
- Must meet all safety requirements as directed by Greenbush.
- Must perform other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director or designee.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift a maximum of40pounds.
- Manages all job duties with mobility agility and dexterity.
- Requires long periods of sitting and standing.
- Work in a noisy environment with many interruptions.
