Job Description
The primary purpose of this position is to lead the support of Mountain News Corps North American Sales through B2B focused marketing working toward achieving the NA Sales EBIDTA goal. The way Mountain News potential (and current) clients discover and learn about the Mountain Travel Consumer audience has changed. The goal of the Marketing Manager is to be in front of this shift impact MNCs clients as they discover more about the Mountain Travel Consumer and to harness the new opportunities for revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Actively participate as member of the NA leadership team in developing strategy goals and key performance metrics to build and strive to (be a member of) a high performing team.
The marketing manager will be in charge of managing the comprehensive B2B marketing automation engine including the production of B2B content management of CRM database and software such as Marketo LiveRamp and Salesforce. It will be required and expected that the Marketing Manager develops strategy with key stakeholders on reporting benchmarks and ROI as all programming to be measured.
Oversee the brand identity of Mountain News Corp. and work closely with MNCs European team to constantly refresh the brand atmosphere as a highgrowth property steeped in sophisticated audience targeting including 1st party data opportunities mobile and social media. A major focus will be the maintenance of the corporate website www.mountainnews and understand who visits it what they are interested in and why.
Understanding of current advertising technology that powers audience segmentation targeting and all facets of digital marketing.
Lead and manage the B2B marketing and event management including current events that MNC sponsors and also located new opportunities for MNC to connect with on behalf of the great audience opportunities MNC has to offer.
Manage the NA Marketing budget through full cycle understanding the limitations and various external factors that play into it.
Direct current research programs along with initiating new areas of opportunity in order to better paint a picture of the various audience segments the mountain travel consumer can provide. Couple this with key storytelling about this audience and allowing clients to better understand the power of this audience.
Oversee all collateral build out and demand consistency on all client facing material.
Oversee and participate in bigidea ideation that can drive new and incremental revenue in all facets of the Mountain News platform.
Attend client and agency meetings sales calls and creative brainstorming sessions that comprehensively explain marketing programs and creative concepts.
Execute clientfunded production (video/photography/design) development of sweepstakes (including legal components and fulfillment) development of microsites and more
Oversee competitive analysis (both for online and mobile) as it relates to competitive set along with general market sites utilizing tools like Google Analytics magazines/websites facebook and twitter
Specific software experience is a must including Adobe Creative Suite Microsoft Office and WordPress
Job Requirements
5 years in a Marketing or Sales role with a North American Media Platform and/or Major International Consumer Brand with a major focus on B2B Marketing
Supervisory experience preferred
Highly Efficient in Powerpoint Indesign and Photoshop
Willingness to travel
