About Our Client:
Our client is a leading construction company in the Greater Toronto Area specializing in ICI (Industrial Commercial and Institutional) projects. Since its inception the company has grown into one of the regions largest and most respected construction firms. They are now looking for a highly organized and detailoriented Project Coordinator to join their team and contribute to the successful of their ICI projects.
Job Description:
As a Project Coordinator you will play a key role in supporting the planning coordination and of construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers contractors consultants and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong organizational skills excellent communication abilities and a proactive approach to problemsolving.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Manager in planning organizing and coordinating construction projects from start to finish.
Prepare and maintain project documentation including schedules budgets progress reports and meeting minutes.
Manage the changeorder process providing organized reports on timelines and status.
Coordinate with architects engineers contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
Monitor project progress identify potential risks and propose solutions to keep projects on track.
Facilitate communication between all project stakeholders including internal teams clients and external partners.
Assist in the procurement of materials equipment and services ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress quality and adherence to safety standards.
Support the preparation and submission of permits approvals and other regulatory documents.
Organize and attend project meetings ensuring that action items are documented and followed up on.
Maintain accurate and uptodate project files including drawings contracts and change orders.
Qualifications:
A diploma or degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Architecture or a related field.
A minimum of 23 years of experience in a project coordination or similar role preferably in highrise construction or development.
Strong understanding of construction processes timelines and documentation.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Procore MS Project Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Knowledge of building codes regulations and safety standards in Ontario.
Detailoriented with a proactive approach to problemsolving.
