Burrow Global is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in pipeline and compression station design particularly focusing on rotating equipment.
As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in rotating equipment the successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design analysis and optimization of mechanical systems for pipeline and compression station projects. This role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful of projects adherence to industry standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in the design and engineering of pipeline and compression station mechanical systems with a primary focus on rotating equipment such as compressors turbines pumps and associated machinery.
Develop detailed design specifications drawings and technical documentation in accordance with project requirements industry standards and best practices.
Conduct feasibility studies risk assessments and performance evaluations for mechanical systems proposing and implementing design improvements as necessary.
Provide technical guidance and support to project teams including engineers designers and technicians throughout the project lifecycle.
Collaborate with clients vendors and stakeholders to define project objectives scope and deliverables ensuring alignment with technical requirements and quality standards.
Perform engineering calculations simulations and analyses to validate design integrity performance and safety of mechanical systems.
Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency enhancement in pipeline and compression station design processes implementing new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
Stay updated on industry trends advancements and regulatory changes related to pipeline and compression station design incorporating relevant knowledge into project .
Participate in design reviews technical meetings and client presentations to communicate project progress findings and recommendations effectively.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development by sharing knowledge providing guidance and offering technical training opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
Minimum of 712 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on pipeline and compression station design.
Proven expertise in the design analysis and optimization of rotating equipment including compressors turbines pumps and associated machinery.
Strong proficiency in engineering software and tools for design simulation and analysis (e.g. CAD software finite element analysis computational fluid dynamics).
Indepth knowledge of industry codes standards and regulations governing pipeline and compression station design (e.g. ASME API ANSI).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated leadership abilities including experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and providing technical guidance and mentorship.
Strong problemsolving skills with a proactive and collaborative approach to addressing engineering challenges.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively manage multiple projects concurrently and meet project deadlines within budget constraints.
