Job Description
We are excited to announce that our Watch D.O.G.S. Program is in full swing and off to a wonderful start thanks to our servanthearted volunteers! In case you havent heard Watch D.O.G.S. is an innovative program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and fatherfigures in their students lives.
The two main purposes of the Watch D.O.G.S program is to:
- To provide positive male role models for the students demonstrating by their presence that education is important.
- To provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security and reduce bullying.
Our volunteers at Christian Academy spend 24 hours a day patrolling the school playgrounds cafeteria building perimeter and hallways for safety helping out in classrooms praying for our school as they walk the halls and ultimately being a positive male role model for our students.
As a way to maintain trust amongst our students faculty and staff as well as parents all volunteers are required to have a background screening and check. This includes checking criminal history sex offender registries child protection orders and any other documentation that may be an indication that the schools safety could be impacted. These screenings will be conducted on a continuous basis.
