This position involves a dynamic and multifaceted role in the Department of Neurological Surgery contributing to both clinical care and teaching across two major UW Medicine sites: Harborview Medical Center (HMC) and Seattle Childrens Hospital (SCH). Reporting to Dr. Louis J. Kim Dr. Amy Lee and the Department Chair Dr. Richard G. Ellenbogen the role includes providing neurological surgery services including trauma congenital care and general pediatric neurosurgery. The incumbent will play a key role in the Transitional Congenital Practice at HMC support pediatric and adult trauma cases and serve as a liaison for military patient care. Additionally this role requires active participation in departmental Grand Rounds conferences and teaching initiatives as well as engagement in research projects within the Clinician Education Track.
Assistant Professors areeligible for multiyearappointments that align with a 12month service period (July 1June 30. Faculty with 12month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12month period (JulyJune) meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The base salary range for this position in this title will be $47307 $55402 per month $567684 to $664823 per year) commensurate with experience discipline and qualifications or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.
Our salaries are bench marked based on the AAMC scale. Other compensation associated with this position may or may not include Startup Relocation Incentive/Moving Allowance Administrative supplement for a defined administrative role or Productivity Incentive.
