Job Description:
Technical Publications is a unified team of professionals committed to providing quality and timely publication deliverables for commercial and government projects in a dynamic environment. Team members are responsible for gathering composing and editing technical information to prepare flight manuals maintenance manuals and other technical documentation for our warfighters.
Essential Functions:
- Prior experience authoring illustrated parts manuals/catalogs in a Unstructured/Structured FrameMaker environment for Air Force Army or Navy programs.
- Working knowledge of or experience with Rivet Joint/Cobra Ball/Combat Sent Mission Systems. Working Knowledge of or experience with RC135V/W RC135S and RC135U airframes and avionics.
- Must be able to work well with colleagues internal customers and external customers.
- Must be able to work within and potentially lead defined budgets and meet schedule deadlines.
- Strong computer skills with solid understanding of MS Office Suite and applications.
- Working knowledge of S1000D Standard CSDB databases and Authoring in an XML environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in a related field with 2 or more years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Technical publication authoring experience within structured authoring environments to include Unstructured and/or Structured FrameMaker. Technical Publication authoring experience with S1000D Standard and XML authoring framework.
- Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
