Overview
RiverView Health is a community owned membership based nonprofit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston MN.
RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities
Location: Crookston Clinic
Schedule: 72 hours per twoweek pay period
Clinic hours: MondayFriday 7 AM 7 PM
Pay Range: $20.15 $28.21; includes competitive benefits package
Job Status: NonExempt/Hourly eligible for overtime
River View Health has an opening for a full time 72 hours every 2 weeks) Patient Access Representative (clinic float) This position would cover shifts between 7am7pm and support all Riverview Health clinics.
- Answers phones and schedules patients for initial of followup appointments
- Greets and registers patients while collecting and accurately entering all information required for visit.
- Supports quality by making updates and corrections to work queues
- Communicates clearly and effectively with patients and families physicians clinicians and insurance companies.
- Performs insurance verification either real time or manual verification for eligibility.
- Performs point of service collection of copays and other patient liability.
- Obtains signatures for all necessary documents.
- Safeguards and reconciles all monies collected daily in compliance to cash handling policies and procedures.
- Provides support to multiple clinics as float representative
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum two 2 years of customer service experience
- Ability to sit stand or walk for long periods of time
Preferred:
- Experience in health care setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience in Patient Access and/or Epic
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology insurance
