DSHS BHA Behavior Management Team (BMT) Director
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for making a positive impact in the field of mental health We are excited to announce an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join theBehavioral Health Administration (BHA) at Eastern State Hospital (ESH) as the Behavior Management Team (BMT) Director.
As the BMT Director you will play a pivotal role in driving transformative change and providing essential support to patients and treatment teams. In this supervisory and managerial role youll spearhead the transformative work of the Behavior Management Teama diverse and skilled group of professionals dedicated to driving positive change in patient behaviors.
At the core of your responsibilities lies the management and implementation of the BMT a multidisciplinary powerhouse that provides ward treatment teams crucial shortterm consultation. These teams are faced with the complex challenge of managing patients exhibiting high levels of challenging behaviorsbehaviors that have not responded adequately to their prescribed treatment plans.
Leading a team of exceptional professionals youll cultivate a collaborative environment. Your guidance will play a pivotal role in enhancing patient care and fostering a safe and therapeutic environment.

This position is required to work onsite. Opportunities performed onsite at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5 premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.

Professionals with a doctoral degree in behavioral science (Psychology Counseling Social Work Education with a behavioral science core curriculum etc. and five years of experience working in a psychiatric facility or community behavioral health setting with patients exhibiting aggressive behaviors.
Or
A masters degree in behavioral science (Psychology Counseling Social Work Education with a behavioral science core curriculum etc. and nine years of experience working in a psychiatric facility or community behavioral health setting with patients exhibiting aggressive behaviors.
Or
A bachelors degree in behavioral science (Psychology Counseling Social Work Education with a behavioral science core curriculum etc. and eleven year of experience working in a psychiatric facility or community behavioral health setting with patients exhibiting aggressive behaviors.
AND
Three years of supervisory experience.
