The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and assisting with the coordination of safety programs and ensuring compliance with safety regulations throughout the hospital. This role includes maintaining safety documentation tracking safety activities supporting safety projects and assisting with the coordination of emergency management exercises training inspections and safety audits to safeguard the health and safety of hospital staff patients and visitors.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Safety Documentation & Compliance: Assist with maintaining and tracking safetyrelated records ensuring timely updates and scheduling necessary services. Support the management of safety dashboards filing systems and the review and revision of safety policies and procedures.
- Safety Projects & Initiatives: Contribute to safetyrelated projects and initiatives aimed at improving hospital safety including policy updates equipment monitoring and safety audits.
- Inspections & Audits: Help with safety inspections and compliance checks across hospital facilities. Participate in rounding tours and collaborate with various teams to document and address safety concerns.
- Emergency Preparedness & Exercises: Assist in coordinating emergency management exercises safety drills and related training activities. Help develop exercise documentation and support the evaluation and reporting of exercise outcomes.
- Training Coordination: Organize and coordinate safety training sessions for hospital staff including scheduling preparing materials and managing logistics in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree in emergency management Environmental Health or Safety preferred.
Experience:
- 12 years in safety emergency management or environmental health coordination ideally within a healthcare setting preferred.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel)
- Excellent multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk stand and perform inspections throughout the hospital.
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs as needed.
SALARY RANGE
- $30.22to$44.44/hour
- Entry salary dependent upon education skill set and experience.
