POSITION TITLE: Anticipated Electrical Technology InstructorQUALIFICATIONS: Holds and maintains or Eligible to hold a valid Vermont State Educator License Holds a minimum of an Associates degree or its equivalent Holds the Industry Credential/Electricians License Five or more years of recent industry experience in the electrical field and familiarity with VT Electrical CodeDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Knowledgeable and skilled in content and experience training Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and times as designated. Plan a program of study that meets the interests needs and abilities of the students and follows the established curriculum as written by the district and the state. Ability to work in a team and to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships with staff students and parents. Ability to supervise students in both the classroom and lab areas. Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and maintain such records as required by law and district policy. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning the academic and behavioral progress of the students. Strive to maintain and improve professional competence. Working knowledge of the Vermont State Proficiencies and the VT Agency of Education CTE Competencies required. Experience with classroom management to ensure the safety of all students. Understanding student learning differences. Patience and persistence. Ability to access and utilize technology. Assist the administration in implementing all policies and rules of the school and district. Take all reasonable precautions to provide for the health and safety of the students and to protect equipment materials and facilities. Attend staff meetings and other meetings as required. Perform other duties as assigned.The annual Salary is competitive in Vermont and is determined based on experience.
