Job Description
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for aFullTime 1.0 f.t.e. Elementary Teacher atMenno Simmons Community School. This position willcommence on August 27 2025. The initial teaching assignment will include upper elementary core subjects . Division housing may be available for school staff.
Menno Simons Community School (MSCS) is the most westerly located school within Peace River School Division. We are located approximately 100 kilometers west of Fairview on Highway 64 in the small hamlet of Cleardale. MSCS is a K12 school of approximately 60 students. MSCS offers a public school program in accordance with the prescribed Alberta Curriculum and also maintains a sensitivity toward the distinct cultural needs of many within our community. The Hamlet of Cleardale is approximately 29 kms east of British Columbia boarder and 200 kms north of the City of Grande Prairie.
Qualifications:
- Experience and/or training in teaching upper elementary subjects
- Excellent communications skills with students staff and parents
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and educational assistants to ensure student success
- Proven ability to differentiate lessons to support students achievement
- Strong classroom management skills
- A keen understanding of assessment practices
- The ability to use technology to support learning in the classroom
- Must hold or be eligible for a validAlberta Teaching Certificate
- Provide an acceptance current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (please note record check must be less than six 6 months old to date of your application)

This teaching position falls under the Collective Agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62 702 to $ 105 996(dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division).
