Job Description
Successful candidate will have strong a scientific background and a minimum of a Masters level education in a field related to biomedical biological or medical sciences and experience as a member of staff in a research laboratory. Candidates with experience as a successful laboratory manager will receive preference.
Familiarity with dynamics and intricacies of research finance mechanisms at an academic medical facility is helpful.
The Space Analystserves as a member of the staff of the Research Space Management Group and is responsible for identifying and evaluating critical contributors to the efficient use of leased and owned space by research scientists at MGH.Is responsible foridentifying categorizing analyzing and allocating space utilized by researchers.
The Space Analyst serves as a contact regarding space and spacerelated requirements and as an intermediary between certain groups and various hospital departments responsible for providing research laboratory facilities; the Space Analyst is responsible for working with assigned departments in analyzing and planning for research space needs according to documented changes in funded research
Works independently under the general direction of the Manager RSMG.
