General Overview:
The Organization Development & Learning Services (ODLS) team is a high profile customerfacing fastpaced team which provides 3 types of services. ODLS drives and manages a number of Human Capital Development / Talent Management efforts including: Employee Engagement Survey Leadership Development Programs and Performance Management efforts. ODLS provides a wide range of Organization Development and managerial consulting services to departments and their leaders. And ODLS administers a variety of Learning Services including: Professional Development Series (PDS) training program learning systems administration (PeopleSofts Administer Training module and HealthStream learning management system) and customized training programs.
Under broad direction from the Director of Partners HealthCare Organization Development & Learning Services (ODLS) the candidate will manage programs/projects for the Partners HealthCare departments and support OD consultations. With the ODLS department the incumbent will support the departments mission to implement an ongoing plan to develop management staff and the organization as a whole. Specifically the candidate will be responsible for various human capital / talent management / learning activities that drive and support an organizationwide strategic change effort from inception to implementation and ongoing support. The incumbent will support the activities of Partners HealthCare OD & Learning Services department as a member of a small departmental team.
The ideal candidate possesses strong interpersonal organizational and project management skills experience implementing and managing programs intellectual independence and problem solving ability tolerance for ambiguity and is organizationally savvy. This is a full time position; some evening and early morning hours will be required.
Responsibilities:
Project Management
Manage various Organization Development learning change management and human capital projects: establish and gain buyin for project plans; organize/facilitate project related logistics; manage constituent teams; communicate with stakeholders; support project related strategic activities; fulfill other project management duties as required
Provide project management support for institutionwide largescale organizational development & human capital/talent management and change management initiatives including: performance management process improvement employee engagement surveys strategic communications leadership/management development work force / work place redesign and others as they emerge.
Program Management
Manage the planning design delivery implementation and evaluation of ongoing human capital management development leadership development career development and learning programs: facilitate all facets of program development drive implementation of both internally delivered and vendor managed programs develop and implement ongoing support model administer evaluation and continual improvement and manage ongoing logistics with support from Learning Services team and HR Operations as appropriate.
Research best practices for management leadership and career development programs.
Collaborate with internal colleagues as needed for program development and strategic alignment of programs and services.
Organization Development
Support consultation to leaders managers and departments: participate in diagnostic / recommendation discussions and interventions with consultants; capture diagnostic / recommendation data & strategy and convert to documentation and intervention plans.
Learning Services
Collaborate with Learning Services to manage and deliver learning solutions as necessary.
Oversee strategic aspects of Management Development Initiative and other leadership / management programs as well as Human Resources training modules including: participant nomination instructor selection and preparation evaluation best practice research continuous improvement directional alignment of curricula with organizational initiatives.
Collaborate with Learning Services to support Professional Development Series training program and online learning programs.
Other
Working with OD & Learning Services leadership support the development and maintenance of a multiyear Organization Development strategy for the organization and the departments within it.
Establish and maintain strategic business partnerships with the Human Resources department and business units across Partners.
Support operational activities of the OD & Learning Services department as needed.
Make presentations to various groups eliciting appropriate audience involvement and utilizing adult learning principles.
Interface with and procure decisions from leaders.
Other duties as assigned.
Five seven years experience including: project management; program management preferably in implementing and managing Talent Management Leadership/Management Development and other learning/human capital programs; Organization Development and/or training.
Bachelors Degree in Organization Development Business Administration Counseling Human Resources Development Training or related field required Masters preferred.
Ability to carry out position with a high degree of customer service communication teamwork and timeliness.
