Job Description
Effective customer service orientation and theability to interact with diverse groups of patients staff and providers.
Demonstrated ability to solve basic patientand practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal andcommunication skills attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
Ability to lift and transport patients usingthe appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self.
Patient Care Associate opportunities are available on the the Post Anesthesia Care Units. The Post Anesthesia Care Units (PACU) at MGH are comprised of 5 individual critical care areas (Ellison 3 White 3 Lunder 2 3 and 4 dedicated to the care of adult and pediatric patients preceding and immediately following surgery and/or procedures requiring anesthesia.PCA assists multidisciplinaryhealth care team by assisting patients with daily living needs monitoring& reading vital signs drawing blood obtaining EKGs.
