day shift positions 3 x 12 hour shifts
On call Saturdays 7p-7a and Sundays 7a-7p and 7p-7a
Candidates should have both PREOP and PACU experience PREOP shifts start at 530am or 6am PACU shifts begin at 7am and continue every hour until 11am (ex. 7a-730p 730a-8p 9a-930p 10a-1030p etc).
Recent PACU/Preop experience and/or minimum 2 years ICU experience required
not surgicenter - they do not see the level of complexity of patients that we see in a level I trauma center. Candidates must possess the ability to think critically and to work independently.
PALS NIHSS BLS & ACLS Required
CPAN - highly desirable
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district - Required
PACU/Preop Experience - Required: 2 Years
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program Required
BSN - Highly desired
Monitor post-operative patients levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia and provide updates to the medical team as needed. Obtain and record patients vital signs. Observe patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication. Treat pain nausea and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia and administer medication as prescribed. Update charting (EMR) patient files and medical records. Educate patients and their families on post-surgery care and answer any questions.
