Bachelors Required Masters preferred

TheDepartment of Radiology under the General Hospital has an annual gross patientservice revenue budget of $850 million with over twenty cost centers. TheSenior Financial Analyst will report to the GH SeniorFinance Manager supporting the manager to perform financial analysis developfinancial presentation manage the financial system and problemsolve issues relatingto GH finance and billing.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performingfinancial analysis and data mining
- Analyzes financials of all cost centers periodically to report on key indicator performance. Monitors variances and trends. Recommends actions to improve result.
- Identifies errors or areas of concern and works with relevant parties to resolve issues.
- Supports the annual budgeting process through data organization process automation information requirement coordination and visualization of budget materials.
- Works closely with the Operation and Clinical Support teams and all Budget Office liaisons.
- Assists with comparative and other strategic analyses develops relevant metrics in support of business decisionmaking.
- Performs adhoc analysis as needed and in response to inquiries from all stakeholders.
Managingfinancial system
- Responsible for upkeeping finance database and maintaining all financial data/files pertaining to the financial operation and capital portfolio of the department.
- Tracks and reports on all capital accounts and renovation projects.
- Evaluates and improves department financial reporting system and process leveraging EPIC enterprise system capabilities.
- Keeps abreast of external regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance.
Preparingfinancials and other materials
- Develops materials for financial reporting and presentations on a monthly basis and as needed.
- Assists in preparing finance training materials.
OtherFinance /accounting duties
- Assists in resolving all problems/inquiries from MGH Budget Office and Partners Finance /Accounting Offices.
- Completes check requests and Purchase Order requisition and processing of invoices as necessary
- Assists with meeting/ training coordination and logistics.
Undertakesspecial assignments as requested by the Senior Finance Manager.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
- Extensive technical knowledge on data mining application of analytical models adaptation of business intelligence (BI) and visualization tools.
- Knowledge in financial accounting and principles.
- Ability to apply analytical skills to support the multifaceted and complex analysis required for this role.
- Ability to present data and analysis in meaningful format to support the Finance operation.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and EPIC enterprise system a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills being able to support and work collaboratively with colleagues Hospital and Partners personnel and outside customers to accomplish Radiology Finance goals.
- Ability to follow up and finish projects to meet deadlines.
- Selfmotivated resourceful and offer creative solutions for problemsolving.
- Professionalism to keep financial information confidential.
