Support Worker
Based at our Sheltered Scheme at Park Court Walkergate
Permanent part time 27 hpw)
Earn 12.60 per hour 24638 per annum) pro rata and great benefits including Health Cash Plan
This role was previously for full time hours but is now part time only

Typical day as our Support Worker
- Assisting customers with practical housing tasks to support them to maintain their tenancy.
- Customer group Older People Services for customers over 55 years old with Housing support needs.
- Sign posting customers to relevant services when needed.
- Carrying out risk assessments support planning goal setting and regular reviews.
- Cuppas chats and catch ups. Theres no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.

You bring
- Passion to support our customers to live their best life working together with an eye for detail
- Experience of caring for others you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children
- The ability to workon your own initiative remaincalm under pressure and havea resilient approach
- Recognise every customer is different and youre able to adopt a flexible personal approach listening to customers to understand their needs

Our team
Youll join Susanand our Newcastle Older Peopleteam. Were super passionate about what we do! Were really proud of working with our customers who love raising money for charities by having coffee mornings. Were a supportive bunch and like to keep in touch via teams daily and in person as much as we can.
Job details
- Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 2.30pm and Friday 9.00am to 2.00pm
- Although youll lone work we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
- Able to use technology to update support plans complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
- Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
