Location:Seattle WA. Option of Hybrid 3 days in office/2 days from home after 6 month probation/trial service.

Were looking for a Homeless Prevention Specialist (PS4toprovide assistance with safe and stable housing for youth who are releasing to the community from a Juvenile Rehabilitation (JR) facility as well as those youth who are on parole supervision and find themselves homeless.
The opportunity:
You will work in partnership with committees projects and coalitions to implement administer and oversee the statewide implementation of homeless relief assistance funds to help address the complex problem of homelessness. You will work with community supports to establish transitional housing programs to ensure safe sustainable housing. Your work will help youth access resources to secure employment or subsidies necessary to sustain housing build independence and work toward selfsufficiency.
Some of what you will do:- Create and implement a statewide process for reviewing and approval of eligible cases across the JR continuum and evaluate and approve the use of homeless relief funds for Juvenile Rehabilitation youth.
- Ensure the allocation of funds is in alignment with the budget.
- Negotiate and establish contracts and agreements with community partners.
- Implement and maintain a client related data tracking system.
- Advise Juvenile Rehabilitation staff regarding implementing individualized prevention plans and to assess identify track and report youth homelessness.
- Create and update written materials for presentations and provide data and reports.
- Meet with youth to better understand their needs to assist in the development of a pathway to stable housing.
- Participate in a variety of meetings and travel both locally and statewide.
Required qualifications:
Bachelors degree in planning policy analysis business or related field.
AND
Two years of experience in a related field including planning policy analysis coordination and consultation with a variety of public and private agencies organizations and/or levels of government. Experience must include allocation of funds and contract negotiation.
OR
Four years of experience in a related field including planning policy analysis coordination and consultation with a variety of public and private agencies organizations and/or levels of government. Experience must include two years of allocation of funds and contract negotiation.
OR
Three years of experience that includes at least two years of allocation of funds AND contract negotiationAND at least one year of experience working with marginalized communities and/or those who are unhoused.
In addition to those required qualifications our ideal applicant will also have some or all of the following:- Demonstrated experience in implementing projects that have statewide scope and impact.
- Demonstrated knowledge of reentry principles to promote successful reintegration into the community.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Rapid Rehousing Programs.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EvidenceBased and ResearchBased methods and techniques for addressing homelessness.
- Experience working with juvenile offenders high risk populations including homeless populations.
- Knowledge of JR institutional and community programs.
- Use office computer technology software and applications specific to JR to prepare documents presentations maintain various databases and search for information on the internet
