Clinical Coordinator and Faculty Appointment Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program
LaGrange College seeks to fill a faculty appointment in our CACREPaccredited graduate program in clinical mental health counseling beginning August 1 2025. The successful candidate would serve as clinical coordinator and nontenureline faculty member in mental health counseling.
An earned doctorate in Counselor Education or related field with specialization in clinical mental health counseling from a CACREPaccredited institution is required although outstanding ABD applicants will be considered. The successful candidate who does not hold a terminal degree upon hiring must have completed it prior to the end of their second year in the position. The successful candidate must be licenseeligible in the state of Georgia.
As a core faculty member in the program the successful candidate will serve as the programs clinical coordinator teach courses supervise practicum students advise graduate students in the program and prepare research for professional presentations. Faculty members are expected to make institutional contributions in teaching leadership and service. The successful candidate who works on campus is strongly preferred to one who works remotely. You may be required to provide teaching in a facetoface online or a hybrid modality.
Prior experience in teaching clinical supervision and CACREPaccreditation requirements are preferred but not required. Applicants must show evidence of accomplishments or strong potential for success in teaching professional presentations and professional service. We especially encourage applicants whose research teaching and/or service will contribute to our principles of promoting advocacy social justice and professional identification within the program.
