Take on the complex clerical work needed to help ensure that workers rights are protected and respected. As a Clerical Assistant 3 you will provide office support and assistance for Workers Compensation Judges and the office as a whole. Work involves scheduling hearing events in accordance with the Workers Compensation Act as well as instructing parties to address the issues at the hearing with the Judge reviewing information submitted through Workers Compensation Automation and Integration System (WCAIS) for the claim answering phone calls and directing internal and external stakeholders to the resource center for technical assistance. This includes preparing and typing correspondence and transcripts preparing and processing casefiles and handling incoming mail and email in accordance with WCOA Policies and Procedures.
You will also be expected to prepare court rooms both in person and virtual for the Judge prior to each hearing day by gathering and preparing related documents and case files and then placing them in the court room if applicable. This includes arranging for vendor services according to WCOA Policy for interpreters security guards and court reporters. Work also involves reviewing documentation or exhibits submitted. alerting the judge to any errors or inconsistencies and reviewing WCAIS reports to verify info.
