OVERVIEW:
The Vice President Provider Operations & Technology will serve as an essential part of the Provider Solutions & Operations (PS&O) leadership team developing a provider operations & technology strategy to unlock Cignas strategic plans leveraging networks and provider data capabilities for growth and monetization. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of PS&O the Vice President will be primarily responsible for overseeing the endtoend process of provider operations & technology. Will partner with other leaders across Technology and Operations to ensure that Cignas capabilities and strategic partnerships are resulting in industry leading provider data capabilities and experience for all critical stakeholders. Their expertise will guide the organizations evolution to dramatically improved accuracy and compliance through enhanced data collection methodologies and technologies. The longterm goal will be to simplify accelerate and improve all facets of provider operations and technology across the organization.
Successful candidates will be able to articulate the differentiating value they will bring to the organization and how their experience can activate the overall vision of our provider data strategy. Candidates must be adept at change management have a strong understanding of transformative technologies and the ability to build strong teams and influence results in a highly matrixed environment. They must consciously and strategically balance possibilities with reality which may involve a phased implementation of ideas and initiatives. The successful candidate will have a track record of building a network of champions for effective both in and outside the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for leading the overall Operations and Technology strategy for the provider data assets of the PS&O organization
Develop and execute a provider operations & technology strategy that will result in industryleading accuracy experience and compliance for all stakeholders.
Establish an Operations & Technology Governance process which will create and implement enterprisewide guidelines controls and decisionmaking processes regarding the ingestion and maintenance of Provider Data.
Leverage technology data science and analytics to fuel differentiated value to stakeholders.
Responsible for roadmap for all Operations & Technology provider data initiatives.
Drive efficiency through improved process automation utilization of lower cost resources & implementation of policy changes.
Collaborate closely with technology team in aligning operational processes and technology development to deliver solutions that will exceed client expectations while reducing operating costs substantially.
Ensure operational readiness and proper of initiatives with cross functional impacts.
Work with other teams to improve and create operational efficiencies through automation.
Develop an internal reputation as a leader and change agent who drives results while maintaining PS&O strong entrepreneurial spirit and team morale.
Focus on aligning operational processes and technology development to deliver solutions that will exceed client expectations while reducing operating costs substantially.
Lead and identify opportunities (through artificial intelligence and other technologyenabled platforms) and drive innovation in provider data.
Develop and execute the provider data strategy focusing on data needs specific to organizational priorities and business units (i.e. Operations Growth Segments Regulatory/Compliance etc..
Oversee the collection integration and quality assurance of diverse provider data sources including proprietary data sets third party data research data and alternative data.
Develop frameworks and methodologies for integrating and normalizing diverse data sets ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define data governance policies data standards and data architecture frameworks.
LEADERSHIP AND COLLABORATION:
Effectively lead a diverse set of operational functions in a manner that is aligned with PS&Os core tenants of trust transparency and servantleadership.
Collaborate with crossfunctional divisions including development delivery operations legal/compliance clinical business segments etc. to ensure data needs are met and aligned with business objectives.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
At least 15 years of experience in progressively responsible senior operations and technology roles.
Masters Degree or equivalent experience related to operations and technology.
Proven track record of advancing organizations during times of change while improving operational efficiency and efficacy.
Excellent leadership skills including ability to think strategically and execute for results.
Proven ability to innovate and drive large organization change.
Experience working in a large highly matrixed organization with proven ability to develop internal enterprise relations and external relationships.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Strong business and financial background with a sense of urgency and a desire to achieve top line results.
Experienced scaling highgrowth techenable services business.
Strong analytical ability to develop forecasts analyze trends and recommend solutions to complex issues associated with staffing scheduling and service delivery.
Familiar with predictive analytics to driver more informed and education business decisionmaking.
Ability to identify issues big and small and communicate them upward proactively and professionally.
Independent and strategic problem solver; accountable for and skilled in exercising sound judgment.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate across divisions to implement processes and achieve results. Track record of building and maintaining productive relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Professional organizations or related associations are a plus.
Validated attention to detail as well as effective time management abilities
Highly developed research and analysis skills with experience in a similar role.
