Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ship and receive materials;
- Ensure pallets and loads are built correctly;
- Load and unload trucks;
- Unpackage count and repackage to return to stock customer returns;
- Sort tag and distribute incoming shipments;
- Report quality variances;
- Support inventory control with accurate documentation;
- Confirm inventory transactions are complete;
- Operate lifting devices (i.e. forklifts hoists elevating platforms lift beams and swivel hooks);
- Perform routine inspections on forklifts;
- Maintain an organized work area according to policies procedures and safety regulations;
- Participate in cleanup of yard and facility;
- Ensure all paperwork is completed to standard;
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 years experience in a warehouse/shipping/yard environment;
- Previous forklift experience required valid forklift certification preferred;
- High school diploma;
- Must possess a valid drivers license;
- Must be detail oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy;
- Knowledge of safe lifting and handling procedures;
- Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time;
- Ability to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 50 pounds;
- Ability to perform all duties in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Act;
- Ability to work independently;
- Ability to determine the correct tools and equipment needed to complete a task;
- Able to effectively communicate follow and understand verbal and written directions
