Engineer/Architect 2
Under the direction of the Southcoast Region Construction Group Chief this position acts as a Construction Project Manager for regional capital improvement projects. Projects may include Roads Bridges Airports and Marine Facilities. As a Construction Project Manager this position will act in responsible charge of assigned Construction Projects by supervising and directing a staff of subordinate engineers and technicians to assure that small to mediumscale construction projects conform to contract plans and specifications applicable state and federal requirements and within budgetary constraints.

This position is based out of DOT&PFs Southcoast Region office in Juneau. Travel to project sites throughout the region is necessary for project site visits open houses with the public and for professional training. In this position you can experience Alaska through project site visits! Our Construction Projects can be anywhere in Southeast Alaska Kodiak or the Aleutian Chain! This position will manage projects in various locations throughout the region and will require travel to those locations for regular project site visits.Engineer/Architect 2
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect and one year of professional experience as an Engineer/Architect 1 or Engineering Associate with the State of Alaska or the equivalent.
Special Note:
Persons not registered in the State of Alaska must be registered in a state recognized by the State Board of Registration for Architects Engineers and Land Surveyors eligible for comity in accordance with AS 08.48.191(b). Persons employed under this provision must become registered in Alaska within one year of hire and sign an agreement to this effect as a condition of employment.
Engineer/Architect 3
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect and three years of professional engineering or architectural experience (Engineer/Architect series) or the equivalent.
