Job Description

Role Title: Treasury Payments Administrator

Location: Peterborough

Contract: Full Time Temporary 12month Fixed Term Contract

Role purpose

The Treasury Payments Administrator role will work within the Payment Control team dedicated to ensuring all payments made by the business entities of the United Kingdom Europe Middle East and North American are fulfilled in a timely manner meeting the agreed value date.

The role is very deadline driven and the job holder will need to be flexible and driven to ensure payments are delivered in accordance with bank deadlines.

Key accountabilities

  • Deliver timely and accurate processing of all payments via a multitude of Banking portals.
  • Ensure payments meet international payment deadlines and communicate any failures to the business owner.
  • Cover for daily netting and settlement process of deals.
  • Follow Compliance and Payment policy.
  • Assist in the resolution of payment queries from business owners and customers.
  • Participate in team meetings and one to one session with manager.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Participate in User Acceptance testing where new/updated systems have an impact on the payment process.

Experience and personal qualities

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be an effective team member with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in finance or payment related environment is preferred
  • Experience of working in a fastpaced global finance or payment department is preferred
  • Prior experience working in shared service environment with an on/offshore presence is preferred

Communication Skills

  • Proactive and regular communications with the business locations and support areas as well as other areas of Finance.
  • Escalate issues which may be suspected fraud to line manager internal audit team and fraud and risk team.
