Job Description

RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.

We are hiring a Chief 1 Respiratory Physiologist in a Hospital in Galway Ireland.

35 hours per week/PartTime

Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of the department head plan coordinate and carry out the Sleep Labs daily workflow.
  • To arrange sleep appointments communicate with the secretaries of the consultants and the admissions office.
  • Conduct and evaluate the necessary sleep test (overnight oximetry titration study full/limited) reporting and emphasising any unusual or contradictory findings. to guarantee the safe and professional of every process.
  • Help with patient education by providing resources such as information sheets and DVDs.
  • All sleep devices should be calibrated and undergo routine maintenance. to clean and sanitise every piece of equipment in compliance with hospital infection control guidelines and manufacturer recommendations. to guarantee that equipment is replaced when necessary and maintained in accordance with manufacturer instructions.




Requirements


  • Possess a Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement certificate or a Clinical Measurement Level 8 degree.
  • Two to three years of experience in sleep therapy and diagnostics after receiving a degree
  • Proficiency in doing comprehensive pulmonary function testing.
  • The capacity to assume operational responsibilities while being supervised by respiratory consultants.
  • Proficiency with CPAP titrations and comprehensive inpatient diagnostic polysomnography setup and analysis.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Adaptable work schedule
