The Receiving Manager will oversee the daily operations of the loading dock facilities. Responsible for the overall leadership planning administration and management of the receiving and shipping operations and logistics. The Receiving Manager will collaborate with various internal departments clients vendors and contract partners to coordinate and execute the movein and moveout processes ensuring compliance with policies. Additionally the Receiving Manager will oversee the receiving and shipping personnel to ensure efficient and safe movement of materials from the dock. This position reports to the Executive Chef.
The budgeted salary range for this position is $65000 $75000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
Oversees and evaluates all activities of the dock and dock employees ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading of all freight
Conducts daily inspections ensuring compliance with applicable federal state local and internal compliance regulations and policies
Ensures product handling and delivery practices meet internal and external customer expectations and daily weekly monthly and annual business objectives
Assesses efficiency and performance of dispatch and distribution activities; identifies and recommends improvement to shift department and facility
Teaches and implements safe lifting and loading techniques and regularly evaluates employees compliance
Maintain accurate records of dock activities including scheduling staffing packages and equipment usage
Manage maintain and reinforce safety policies and procedures including regular safety inspections training for employees related to loading dock area
Interview hire train staff and handle discipline and separation of employee in accordance with company policy
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Education & Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the industry
Knowledge of OSHA and OSHA reporting
Proficient understanding of logistics operations inventory management and shipping/receiving processes
Must possess the ability to work independently and thrive in a constantly changing environment
Strong leadership collaboration and interpersonal skills
Skill in assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their strengths
Proficiency in planning managing and executing projects within scope and deadlines
Excellent organizational and multitasking with a keen eye for detail
Ability to manage and lead diverse teams fostering a positive and productive work environment
Skills in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work effectively with different departments to achieve business objectives
Additional Information :
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Ability to be on your feet kneel and bend for extended periods of time
Regularly work in adverse conditions and requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
Must be able to lift push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position but no more than 50
