The Accounting and Control team plays a pivotal role in coordination between Local Accounting teams across Europe Global Business Services and US Corporate Headquarters. We lead the implementation and adoption of accounting topics and related processes in a complex European environment across all countries and functions within multiple ERPs. Support is also provided for financerelated projects e.g. due diligence acquisition integration SAP implementations.
What You Will Do:
- Act as primary point of contact for External and Internal auditors and liaison between them and Ecolab EU organization during audits
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely remediation of identified control weaknesses.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on control compliance and operational risk related topics including assisting with introduction of new and redesign of existing controls
- Manage European SOx compliance program deployment
- Support of control owners in the control .
- Deliver trainings and communication to employees about compliance requirements and internal control procedures
- Evaluate accounting documentation reports data etc. and determining compliance with policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of compliance activities and internal control measures
- Communicate the status of control environment and audit results to management
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders
- Drive automation in control
- Participate in finance process implementation/ migration/ integration projects as Subject Matter Expert for internal controls

What You Will Need:
- 5 years of relevant professional experience within the finance/audit. 12 years of audit experience in the international environment would be a strong advantage
- Fluency in English
- Strong interest in learning SAP HFM other digital tools
- Ability to learn quickly and navigate ambiguity and/or conflicting priorities
- Basic project management skills
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications
- Good communication and presentation skills (incl. material preparation)
- Passionate about continuous improvement
- Professional curiosity and interest in crossfunctional processes including underlying accounting
- University degree
