Resideo is currently seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to design and develop thermostats and other related smart home IoT products. This role requires prior experience with microcontroller and microprocessor designs analog circuits highspeed digital and some RF experience. You will be involved in the entire NPI (New Product Introduction) design process from researching new technology developing proofofconcepts creating and owning complete schematics building prototypes testing validating and launching products into highvolume mass production.
Job Duties:
- NPI Project Hardware Design: Lead and participate in NPI project hardware design including schematic design PCB layout BOM release prototype build debugging engineering testing and QA & Agency support.
- Architectural Development: Utilize your extensive experience to help architect new electrical designs and provide consultation to other engineers and management.
- Testing and Validation: Lead and direct test technicians in performing testing collecting data and validating electrical designs.
- Global Collaboration: Engage in conference meetings with global teams including project leaders and crossfunctional teams to coordinate project progress.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior electrical engineers fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
- Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of designs processes and test results to maintain clear communication and traceability.
- Technology Research: Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology and incorporate innovative solutions into product designs.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
You Must Have:
- 10 years in Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in product development
We Value:
- Design Experience: Handson experience in hardware design projects including schematic design PCB layout system debugging and testing.
- EDA Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with one or more EDA tools such as Mentor Cadence or Altium.
- Experience with RF and IoT. Including WIFI Bluetooth and subghz radios.
- Motivation and Learning: Demonstrated enthusiasm and motivation for routine tasks with a strong inclination towards continuous learning and improvement.
