Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client we are seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong experience in building systems design for a variety of sectors including institutional government commercial recreational and residential. This role is based in either our Vancouver or Kelowna office and requires proficiency in REVIT for mechanical design and drafting.
Requirements
You ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers architects and technologists to deliver highperformance sustainable and codecompliant mechanical systems for a range of building types.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical design and construction drawings using REVIT for HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers to translate design concepts into constructible solutions
- Coordinate models with other disciplines (electrical structural architectural)
- Perform site reviews and field verification for asbuilt conditions
- Assist with equipment selection specification writing and cost estimation
- Contribute to energy efficiency and sustainable design initiatives
- Ensure designs meet applicable codes standards and client requirements
- Attend coordination meetings with internal teams consultants and clients
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical building systems design
- Proficiency in REVIT MEP is required; AutoCAD experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of BC Building Code and ASHRAE standards
- Experience with a variety of building types especially institutional and commercial
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Detailoriented with strong problemsolving abilities
- Eligibility for AScT EIT or equivalent designation is an asset
