The role of the Operations Supervisor is to assist in the daytoday running of the retail and beauty parlour. A key part of the position is to coordinate operational activities and supervise staff. This is a position for an individual who is committed hardworking with ability to work in a team and own initiative.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Shop Operations:
Be the first point of contact for customer enquiries and requests resolving and escalating complaints or needs as necessary.
Oversee the shops by making sure they open and close on time
Supervise and work with shop assistants to do sales and offer good customer service
Monitor and reduce cost of running operations
Do shop stock taking and checking
Make sure shop assistants keep the shops and tidy at all times
Manage the sourcing of suppliers and vendors
Customer Service:
Keep and update customer databases
Record and update sales and expenses
Oversee shop assistant duties such as cleaning orders (online/shop) deliveries via courier or Post Office.
Oversee order delivery to the customer and followup with the customer once an order has been delivered.
Engage customers to complete our shop surveys and answer questions concerning store products.
Make sure we officer excellent customer service to our customers
Human resources:
Manage the recruitment of new staff
Manage induction and orientation
Set up new staff and checkup references
Support to train staff on policies systems and processes
Supervise the work of staff
Monitor staff attendance
Sales Marketing & Branding:
Manage and assist with the setting out of equipment and event management duties.
Organize events and promotions to get customers to buy online and also from the shop.
Oversee the branding and marketing plans and ensure they are effectively implemented.
Oversee daily social media posts (pictures and videos)
Find events that will help us promote the brands
Speak to relevant TV/radio programs to find out about promotional/barter opportunities
Find mutually beneficial partnerships with bridal shops salons beauty shops women s boutiques.
Represent the Brands at events meetings and promotional activities where necessary
Oversee the sending regular text messages to customers
Sending monthly promotional newsletters to customers
Work with graphic designer to get artwork for promotions and branding
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the Owner
Oversee product shoots to make sure they are done
Proficient in using a computer e.g. Microsoft Office Word Excel & PowerPoint
Able to use social media platforms Facebook Instagram tiktok YouTube etc.
Experience of supervising staff
Experience in sales and marketing operations management or administration
Experience working in a retail shop/beauty salon
Excellent telephone manner
Excellent administrative and organizational skills
Attention to detail and able to follow tasks through to completion
Ability to respond to and meet urgent deadlines
Experience of retail/ beauty industry would be preferable
