Job Description

Are You Passionate About Water Resources Engineering  Join our team at Olsson a leading engineering firm actively seeking a dedicated Experienced Engineer for Water Resources in our Overland Park KS office.

As an Experienced Engineer you will perform various tasks that immerse you in practical experience and expose you to diverse engineering facets methods and programs. You will execute precise technical engineering calculations and develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for floodplain modeling and mapping. Engaging in design and management tasks for stormwater projects including channel stabilization/restoration storm drain systems culverts and water quality features will be part of your responsibilities. You will also coordinate with supervisors and project managers to achieve project objectives. Additionally you will innovate and introduce new ideas to projects showcasing your creativity and initiative.

We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Overland Park KS office location.

You bring to the team:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to contribute and work well with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problemsolving skills.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience.
  • Engineer Intern (EI) certificate preferred.
  • Experience with HECRAS modeling software.
  • Experience with Civil3D software.
  • Experience with modeling software is a plus.
  • Aspiration to advance and evolve in the field of water resources engineering.
