What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will join the Structural Biology Department at our site in Thousand Oaks CA. The Structural Biology laboratory provides comprehensive molecular insights and structurebased design for drugtarget assessment mechanism of action proteinprotein and proteinligand interactions as well as protein engineering to facilitate drug discovery across various therapeutic areas.
Structure determination of target molecules in our small molecule programs using Xray crystallography and/or cryoelectron microscopy (cryoEM)
Work closely with molecular biologists and protein biochemists in the protein expression group
Collaborate with small molecule scientists including computational scientists medicinal chemists and protein engineers

Basic Qualifications:
Ph.D. with a deep understanding of structural biology and general biochemistry
Or
Masters with 3 years relate industry experience
Or
Bachelors with 5 years of related industry experience
Significant postdoctoral research experience in macromolecular complex structure determination. Knowledge of stateoftheart protein structural biology techniques including all aspects of construct design expression purification characterization structure determination and analysis
Proven expertise on protein crystallography and/or cryoEM single particle analysis to determine atomic resolution structures
Excellent presentation skills (written and oral) for effective teambased communication of results.
Ability to work independently and effectively within timelines and to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
Skills in managing multiple projects and capability to prioritize.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with other protein biochemical and/or biophysical characterization of protein complexes

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
