Job Description
Overview
Responsibilities
Identifies and eliminates or reduces artifact contamination of the recording of the EEG and video.
Maintains EEG equipment by conducting calibrations and troubleshooting to ensure equipment readiness and accuracy and promote the reliability and efficiency of EEG procedures.
Prepares test reports and maintains test data obtaining patient history and relevant medication information to aid in the neurologists accurate diagnosis treatment planning and monitoring of patient progress.
Maintains EEG supplies and a clean environment employing infection prevention practices to ensure a safe and hygienic testing environment and promote patient safety.
Explains EEG procedure and preparation to patient to enhance patient understanding and cooperation during testing and promote a positive patient experience.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Registered EEG Technologist
BLS (CPR)American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
