On behalf of our clients we are looking for a Flight Safety Analyst in Chantilly VA and Fort Belvoir VA. The chosen candidate will initially fill one of four positions and crosstrain into others.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The selected analyst will use systems and software applying their expertise to perform technical and operational analysis and to produce products for reports and briefings.
Additionally the analyst must coordinate and integrate relevant information and findings with others to develop and deliver products enabling the customer to understand situations and make decisions.
This job is also responsible for preparing reports related to safety for upper and senior management
Responsible for the prediction and analysis of orbital conjunctions and close approaches between space objects; electromagnetic interference prediction and analysis
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Engineering Mathematics Physics Computer Science or Operations Research is required plus 4 years experience. Masters degree is highly desired.
Experience using Satellite Tool Kit (STK AGI) Matlab.
Space operations experience including at least one of the following: radar electronic warfare or related field or phenomena; Orbit Analysis; electrooptical systems and lase operations.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance; current polygraph is prefered.
Programming with Perl or other scripting languages familiarity with Fortran C and C.
Experience with Linux Red Hat Fedora or CentOS.
Must have excellent computer technical interpersonal written and oral communication skills and be proficient in MS Office (Excel Word & PowerPoint).
Must have the ability to multitask in a dynamic crew environment and be capable of applying innovative technical analysis to solve problems.
Must have the ability to prepare and present complex ideas in a clear and coherent form and present them to an audience.
Required to work with a 24/7 crew shift operator.
