Job Description
San Marcos Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate parttime Latin Teacher for theschool year. This position involves teaching Latin courses to upper school students. The ideal candidate will cultivate a dynamic and engaging learning environment that sparks creativity and nurtures a passion for knowledge in students.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Latin language courses in upper school.
Foster language acquisition cultural awareness and effective communication skills in students.
Create an interactive and immersive classroom environment that encourages active participation and language practice.
Assess student progress through assignments projects and assessments providing meaningful feedback.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and support student growth.
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal

Strong classroom management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students and staff.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in subject area (Language).
Teaching certification (preferred).
24 College hours in the teaching discipline.
Previous teaching experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
