This is a good one! Im assisting a well established and wellrun medium sized practice in their search for an Associate/Senior Associate Architect based in central London. This is a permanent position with a salary circa 65000 pa depending on experience.
This role lends itself to those who are comfortable in a managerial role as well as a job running position. Occasionally youll be getting stuck into the typical day to day responsibilities as an Architect however theres much more emphasis on your ability to lead a few projects and lead small teams to delivery such projects. Experience of managing teams of 46 would be ideal.
Generally you should have a solid technical understanding and should be very comfortable ion the delivery RIBA stages. Youll be on site on a regular basis problem solving working alongside clients and contractors under budget and time constraints. All of which will require a high level of communication both within the office / team as well as being a main point of contact for specific projects.
The work is large scale residential with a secure work flow incoming for the foreseeable within the residential sector it is vital you can demonstrate competing on such projects. The company in particular are known residential specialists with projects ranging from 200500 unit developments and mediumhigh rise towers.
Experience with Revit would be preferable more specifically managing teams using Revit would be advantageous. You may not be producing Revit drawings on a day to day basis you will certainly be directing team members in this area hence the need for some understanding of BIM and Revit in general.
This is a long term strategic hire and is the start of what seems to be a busy few years ahead.
