We are seeking a highly skilled Sage X3 ERP Project Manager to join our dynamic clients team. This individual will lead the implementation of Sage X3 ERP across the organization ensuring the system aligns with our business needs and contributes to overall efficiency and productivity.
Job Summary:
The Sage X3 ERP Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of the Sage X3 ERP system ensuring that all project phases from planning to golive are executed on time within scope and on budget. This role requires a leader with deep knowledge of ERP systems particularly Sage X3 as well as the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to ensure smooth implementation and adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership & Management:
Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of the Sage X3 ERP implementation project.
Develop detailed project plans including timelines milestones resource allocation and risk management strategies.
Act as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders (executives department heads and endusers) and external consultants or vendors.
Ensure effective communication among all project team members and stakeholders to maintain alignment on goals and progress.
2. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
Work closely with business leaders to understand business processes requirements and pain points.
Lead the requirements gathering process ensuring that Sage X3 is configured to meet the specific needs of the business.
Document functional requirements and liaise with technical teams for system customization and integration.
3. Implementation & Customization:
Oversee the system configuration customization and integration of Sage X3 with other enterprise systems.
Collaborate with technical consultants to ensure proper setup and tailor Sage X3 to meet companyspecific processes.
Ensure that the implementation follows best practices for Sage X3 ERP including testing training and golive support.
4. Budget & Resource Management:
Develop and manage project budgets ensuring the project is delivered on time and within financial constraints.
Allocate resources efficiently and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise during the implementation phase.
5. Training & Change Management:
Lead enduser training sessions to ensure all relevant staff understand how to use Sage X3 effectively.
Develop and execute a change management strategy to facilitate smooth user adoption.
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting postimplementation to ensure users are fully comfortable with the system.
6. Quality Assurance & Testing:
Oversee the quality assurance process ensuring that the system meets all functional requirements and business objectives.
Lead testing phases including unit testing user acceptance testing (UAT) and system integration testing (SIT).
7. PostImplementation Support & Optimization:
Monitor postimplementation performance and resolve any issues that arise.
Continuously assess system performance and recommend improvements or updates as needed to enhance business processes.
5 years of experience managing ERP implementations with at least 3 years of experience specifically with Sage X3.
Proven track record of successful project management and ERP rollouts.
Solid experience with Sage X3 functionality (financials manufacturing distribution CRM etc. and integrations with other business systems.
Project Management Skills:
Strong project management skills with a deep understanding of Agile Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PMP Prince2 or other project management certification is a plus.
Technical Knowledge:
Indepth understanding of ERP system architecture data migration and software development life cycle (SDLC).
Handson experience with system integration database management and customization in Sage X3.
Communication & Leadership:
Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with experience leading crossfunctional teams.
Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
