Today Vital Voices has a staff of nearly 100 headquartered in Washington DC. In the coming years we have a bold vision to dramatically scale our impact. In early 2022 we opened the first ever Global Headquarters for Womens Leadership a 30000 sq. ft. historic building just blocks from the White House on 16th Street. It is a hub of activity events and collaborations bringing together women leaders and their allies to tackle the worlds greatest challenges.

Summary
The People Operations Intern will work directly under the supervision and guidance of the Talent Acquisition Specialist. This position will be responsible for the cofacilitation of the Vital Voices Internship Program including holding weekly meetings coordinating intern events managing intern communication and various operational functions. This role is based in Washington DC and requires a minimum 1 day per week in office.
Additional responsibilities include:

- Internship Program Support: Support the Internship Program and relevant initiatives. Serve as a main point of contact for all Vital Voices Interns as they progress through the program. Help coordinate intern events and intern trainings.
- Logistical Support: Support orgwide planning and of initiatives including logistical preparations technological support event management and development of agendas content and materials for the operations team.
- Employee Wellness Support: Help plan and coordinate employee wellness events and initiatives. Share communication with interns and staff members.
- Communications: Create onepagers concept notes other communications documents for the Operations team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on Business Administration International Studies/Relations/Affairs Hospitality Human Resources or other relevant fields;
- Strong demonstrated interest in global womens issues preferred;
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in English;
- Ability to prioritize tasks swiftly shift priorities and work in a fastpaced environment with tight deadlines sometimes under difficult or challenging circumstances;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team;
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and selfawareness;
- Strong computer skills including MS Office applications (esp. Excel Word and PowerPoint) social networking tools and database software (i.e. Salesforce).
For part time interns the stipend is $1500 and will be paid in 2 increments throughout the program based on a 1520 hour work week. This role will begin on May 27 and run through Augustweeks).
The internship program is a hybrid position and requires at minimum 1 day in our DC office per week. Remote interns may be considered on a case by case basis.
