Mounds Park Academy is a PreK12 independent school in Saint Paul MN that serves approximately 575 students from throughout the Twin Cities area. Since 1982 Mounds Park Academy has engaged students in a rigorous college preparatory experience that is demanding but not draining and goes far beyond memorization. Mounds Park Academy seeks a temporary Business Office Administrative Assistant.
Responsibilities Include:
- Answer main phone line connect calls to correct individuals give direction or schedule details to callers. Page students after school and other appropriate announcements.
- Greet visitors and check them in and out for security measures.
- Purchase some supplies for school faculty and office staff in coordination with Controller
- Make all electronic deposits of checks paid to Mounds Park Academy and complete the corresponding journal entry.
- Manage the Central Supply and Stationary Inventory. Keep on hand an inventory of about 3 months for supplies and one year of stationery.
- Sorting and distributing incoming mail. Initiating and completing product returns.
- Prepare and record journal entries for various financial transactions at the direction of the controller.
- Reconciling credit card assigned to Controller and Chief Financial and Operation Officer.
- Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as requested by the Head of School or as deemed necessary for safe and efficient operation of the school in order to fulfill the mission of Mounds Park Academy.
Qualifications and Experiences Required:
MINIMUM/MAXIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic Accounting Knowledge
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing excellent customer service skills detailoriented.
- Strong computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Office General Ledger systems
- Ability to multitask work independently and prioritize workload.
- Able to manage confidential information.
- Calm pleasant demeanor. Good common sense friendly and patient.
