1About the position:
The Design Assurance Engineer is part of the Project Designs Engineering team within the Chevron ENGINE and influences the success of projects across the enterprise as designs are reviewed for technical accuracy and correctness in line with the OE culture. This role partners with Chevrons Design Assurance Center of Expertise which provides tools and services to all capital projects including small midrange and large capital projects.
Key responsibilities:
Manages all aspects of a Design Assurance engagement for assigned projects using the established tools and procedures.
Tasks include facilitating project riskscreenings estimating budgets identifying SME resources facilitating throughphase engagements and reportout of findings using a riskbased approach with established Design Assurance tools and procedures.
Interface with other team members and provide input within their discipline/specialty on other projects within the Design Assurance Team scope.
Interface with Engineering Management Center of Expertise is required.
Continuous improvement of the process and tools will be a necessary task for all members of the core team.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering (B.E./B.Tech. from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
Experienced in engineering facilities design and design reviews as it relates to construction commissioning and operations. Strong knowledge of system interfaces and systems engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
1015 years of experience in an engineering or consultant role within offshore complex or LNG facilities.
Operations and facility startup experience is desired.
Demonstrable knowledge of engineering design on past projects. Understands potential areas for crossdiscipline and crossfunctional gaps on major capital projects.
Prior experience supporting major capital projects and base business in project engineering and technical service roles
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1:30pm to 10:30pm.
