DescriptionBasic Job Functions:
Risk Consultants at this salary grade are expected to conduct a specified number of inspections each month. This role requires balancing productivity with adherence to time service and product quality measurements while under close supervision of the direct reporting manager. The role serves as an entrylevel technical resource for our underwriting team on a variety of personal security loss prevention and collections management issues. Expertise is conveyed to our policyholders and agents onsite and through successful of our consultative risk engineering and personalized reporting after each visit.
Core Responsibilities:
The core responsibilities of the entrylevel Risk Consultant role are to provide accurate replacement costs analyze risk acceptability make clear and feasible recommendations and market the Chubb differences to our PRS clients. In this role you remain under close supervision while you help acquire and retain quality accounts that contribute to the divisions profitability. Primary focus of the role is on the following:
- Conduct in home inspections at lower valued levels to determine accurate replacement costs analyze risk acceptability identify potential loss producing problems and identify reasonable loss mitigating solutions
- Create risk inspection reports for use by underwriters agents and clients
- Actively seeks opportunities to learn and grow; developing an ability to articulate Chubbs competitive advantages to clients and identify the need for additional insurance coverage based on the clients possessions and lifestyle
- Cultivate relationships with clients to learn more about their needs as well as to effectively market Chubb products and to promote the inspection process as a demonstration of Chubbs commitment to superior service
- Provide timely and flexible calendar availability in collaboration with scheduling coordinators to meet client service requirements
- Develop an understanding of risk characteristics inherent in the territory
- Attend team meetings and educational opportunities
- Travel on as needed basis including occasional overnight travel
- Must live within a 50mile radius of where majority of field work is conducted
Educational & Experiential Requirements:
- Bachelors degree with demonstrated abilities in math written/oral communication and organizational skills. Experience in architecture claims construction or real estate inspection/appraising a plus
- Minimum of 2 years experience within the Chubb Associate Program or equivalent experience in a related discipline
- Experience interacting directly with customers and/or insurance agents
The pay range for the role is $96600 to $157400. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
