The School for Integrated Learning focuses on building upon the unique strengths of each student. Our school strives to offer a breadth of opportunities for students to express themselves and find personal levels of accomplishment through activities such as: Special Olympics talent shows and school dances student government peer mentoring service learning community gardening and employment education both in the classroom and in the community. The goal of the School for Integrated Learning is to create individualized educational opportunities that enable each student to live as a positive healthy and sociallyconnected individual in his or her community. The School for Integrated Learning is licensed to serve students in grades K12 who have been identified with the following primary disabilities: behavioral and cognitive differences autism intellectual disabilities and speech and language impairments. The core curriculum has been aligned with the Pennsylvania Core Standards as well as the curricula of our partner school districts. This innovative special education programs that work in tandem with families and school districts to ensure that students can return to their local schools and communities with the tools they will need to succeed. The goal of the curriculum is to provide students with learning experiences that foster increased engagement and success through differentiated instruction evidencebased instructional strategies and rigorous learning expectations. Each student has an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) which outlines goals for skill development and the best strategies by which the student can reach his/her goals. A multidisciplinary team including the individuals parent(s) or guardian regularly reviews the plan to discuss challenges progress and adjustments to goals as appropriate. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of ProgramWide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PWPBIS) a programwide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors and prevents negative behaviors to create safe supportive living environments.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or completion of two years of postsecondary education from an accredited college or university preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Proficient communication skills. Proficient computer skills.
