The National Sales Manager is responsible for leading and managing the sales team to achieve revenue profitability and market share objectives. This role requires a dynamic leader who can develop and implement strategic sales plans nurture client relationships and drive business growth in the public and private sectors. This role reports to the General Manager
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop andexecute the companys national sales strategy to achieve growth targets.
- Analyse markettrends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Set and monitorsales goals forecasts and budgets in alignment with company objectives.
Team Leadership& Development
- Lead coachand motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional performance.
- Conduct regularperformance evaluations and provide training to enhance skills and productknowledge.
- Recruitonboard and retain top talent in sales and account management.
ClientRelationship Management
- Build andmaintain strong relationships with key clients in both public and privatesectors.
- Contribute tothe tender process proposals and negotiations to help secure contracts anddrive revenue.
- Ensure customersatisfaction and address concerns promptly to maintain loyalty.
Collaboration& Reporting
- Work closelywith the Managing Director Product Managers and Service Team to align salesstrategies with operational capabilities.
- Provide regularsales reports including performance metrics pipeline updates and forecaststo senior management.
- Participate instrategic decisionmaking as part of the leadership team.
MarketExpansion
- Identify newmarket segments and opportunities for business development.
- Support theexpansion of the CT and MRI product portfolio in line with the companys growthstrategy.
- Driveinitiatives to increase the companys footprint in veterinary and radiologymarkets.
Key PerformanceIndicators (KPIs)
- Achievement ofnational sales targets and profitability goals.
- Growth inmarket share across product portfolios.
- Performance andretention of the sales team.
- Success insecuring private sector contracts
Requirements
Qualifications& Experience
- Degree ordiploma in Business Marketing or a related field.
- 8 years ofsales experience with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role preferablyin the medical equipment industry.
- Proven trackrecord of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience withgovernment tenders and private sector healthcare clients is advantageous.
