Work location: Texas Health Rockwall 3150 Horizon Rd TX 75032

Work hours: Full Time Monday through Friday Daytime and nighttime shift. Expected to flex and work when needed to cover shifts or meet with evening/nights/weekend teams.

Department highlights:

• This position leads a team of security officers providing 24hour coverage to the hospital.
• THRW also has police on site providing coverage who are supervised by police leadership and partner closely with the security team
• This position is responsible for hiring scheduling training and maintaining compliance for the security team.
• This position has considerable interaction with the hospital leadership and benefits from having outstanding communication skills across a wide variety of audiences.
• This position reports to a Regional Director as part of the Greater Dallas Region.

Heres What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is required
• Associates Degree Business Administration Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Security or closely related field. 2 Years Security supervisory experience in lieu of Associates Degree is required
• Bachelors Degree Business Administration Criminal Justice Law Enforcement Security or closely related field. is preferred
• 2 Years Security and/or law enforcement supervisory experience. is required
• 2 Years Healthcare or education security experience is preferred
• DL Drivers License Class C and must be insurable Upon Hire is required And
• ACPI Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 Days is required
• CSO Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3 120 Days is required And
• CSO Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification. 120 Days is required And
• TASER Certification Complete Course & Certification 2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification. 120 Days is required And
• Excellent customer service skills. Effective management skills and techniques. Good verbal and written communication skills evidenced by demeanor and previous training. Basic computer skills with MS
• Office and other industrydriven software. Knowledge of industry standards including but not limited to IAHSS TJC Medicare OSHA State of Texas DPS. Knowledge of continuous improvement and change management.
• Must possess the ability to physically defend and/or restrain people.
• Must successfully complete a psychological evaluation.

What You Will Do

• Plans examines analyzes evaluates and manages the Texas Health System Security and Police operations inclusive of physical security assets and security personnel.
• Examines and monitors security department staffing within assigned area to provide optimal levels.
• Serves in a primary or support leader for emergency management within the assigned area of responsibility.
• Monitors and reports performance on approved physical security metrics.
• Performs audits of security related performance and conducts physical surveys of premise security including security equipment condition.
• Assist with the developing and implementation of Texas Health Security and Police force training program.
• Assists with developing operating and capital budgets for assigned area of responsibility.
