Purpose of Role
As a member of the Girls Opportunity Alliance (GOA) team the U.S. Program Associate will support the planning operations and implementation of the GOA program in Chicago and across the United States.Program strategy implementation: Support the ongoing development and implementation of the GOA program strategy; help to expand the U.S. Network of communityled organizations.
Research and recruitment: Conduct research to identify potential organizations and leaders to support through the GOA U.S. Network and Fund; assist with the review and onboarding process.
Online community management: Support the development and delivery of all content curriculum and training for the GOA U.S. Network to provide members with frequent opportunities to engage virtually with experts and one another.
Event planning: Plan and implement inperson and virtual event programming; research and identify event speakers and facilitators; support with contract management and event logistics.
Community building and partnerships engagement: Regularly attend external events with or on behalf of GOA; prepare research materials for meetings with a broad set of organizations institutions and individuals focused on empowering young women and girls across the U.S; assist with partnership implementation.
Administration: Assist with all aspects of program administration including data tracking memos reports etc.
Other duties as assigned
GOA U.S. Network and Fund goals are met or exceeded each year.
GOA U.S. Program engagement plan is created for the upcoming year and approved at the beginning of each calendar year as a part of the overarching GOA and Obama Foundation strategy.
GOA hosts a regular cadence of virtual and inperson events to support members of the U.S. Network.
GOA reports on the measurable impact of the U.S. Program.
Able to build maintain and foster trusting relationships with a wide range of people and organizations.
Able to manage a high volume of work efficiently; highly organized and able to balance competing demands and priorities.
Creative problem solver who takes initiative to develop the best possible solutions in a timely manner.
Experience in community building and management of online forums/networks for communitybased organizations.
Exceptional project management skills.
Excellent research writing and editing skills.
Experience with Salesforce and GSuite.
Strong passion for women and girls issues.
The salary range for this role is between $$59755 and $$74670.
This is a hybrid role based at our Chicago office in Hyde Park. #LIHybrid #LISF1
