Job Description
Lighthouse Lab Services is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Histology Lab Manager to oversee the histology laboratory operations of a dermatopathology laboratory near Phoenix AZ. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the histology laboratory ensuring the highest quality of work and compliance with all regulatory requirements. The candidate should have a strong foundation in histology and have experience in supervisory roles.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily operations of the histology laboratory
- Manage the workflow and ensure timely completion of all histology tasks
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including CAP CLIA and OSHA
- Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures
- Participate in the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities
- Train and supervise laboratory staff
- When needed prepare sections of human tissue in a variety of sizes and types. To include accessioning grossing fixation processing embedding sectioning and a variety of staining processes.
- Digital scanning of all prepared slides.
- Maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in a biological science or related field
- Certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Histotechnician (HT) by ASCP or equivalent
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a histology laboratory with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of histology techniques instruments and procedures
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Salary / Shift / Benefits:
- Day Shift: MondayFriday
- $85000 $115000 (depending on experience)
- Sign on bonus up to $5000
- Relocation assistance up to $5000
