Program Summary

KBRs Aviation & Ground Systems Directorate provides Systems Engineering & Integration support to the Armys Aviation and Ground soldiers with project based and fulltime personnel support services. KBR sets the standard with a wide range of services including Government Engineering Logistics Business and International focuses while ensuring customer satisfaction and providing excellence in contract deliverables.

Job Summary

KBR is searching for an experienced Program Management applicant in Sterling Heights MI to join our team. In this role the successful applicant will report directly to the Senior Program Manager and will be responsible for applying their knowledge and experience with Army project in support of an Army customer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the daily and management of a complex ground system program. Candidate will assist in the management and of a major ACAT I program for cost schedule and performance. The candidate will develop/enhance processes for preparation of and utilization of project plans financial databases and processes associated with the of onsite and solutionbased support to the Project Office. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Collects completes manages organizes and interprets technical data and financial information relating to program .
  • Coordinates updates for program /delivery fund status availability and in the development of forecasting reports.
  • Assists the Army customer in coordinating and briefing the customer on project information as well as assisting the Army customer in solutioning based on specified customer requests.
  • Develops program estimates for new business and manages cost expended
  • Develops/maintains tracking techniques to monitor program using existing information and reporting systems.
  • Develops and implements upon government management approval a detailed plan for the overall contractor support management of the U.S. Army Project Office.
  • Establishes clear organizational lines of authority and responsibility within the contractors company.
  • Successfully integrates and coordinates all activity needed to execute the task order requirements.
  • Manages the timeliness and quality of work performed and effective management ofthe workforce.
  • Serves as the single point of contact between customer and the contractor personnel assigned to support these task orders.
  • Serves as the designated sitelead to manage the daytoday task order performance.
  • Manages contractual requirements to ensure successful contract performance for multiple contract vehicles.
  • Supervises a team of multi discipline engineers technical leads and technicians in support of key customers.
  • Allocates resources including budgets and personnel and identifies and manages program risks
  • Tracks progress and assesses performance and provides effective communication and leadership
  • Drives organizational change and helps the team adapt to change

This position is projected to be filled late Summer 2025.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Twelve years of related experience seven of which being in program management
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition rules and regulations
  • Ability and willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required
  • Must possess highly effective communication skills
  • Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. A current Secret Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Army Ground Vehicle technology insertion
  • Experience in yearly budget planning
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration or Engineering
  • Experience leading a Major DoD acquisition program
  • Certified Level III in DoD Program Management
  • Former member of the Army Acquisition Corps
