Job Details
We currently have casual vacancies for Assistant Cooks in Ostlers Care Home Kirkcaldy.
Duties within Care Homes include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food along with understanding the requirements of special diets for residents.
Duties may include serving of meals general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up setting up and clearing away equipment and tables) and cleaning of the kitchen its surround and equipment.
All Care Homes provide care 7 days a week for residents.
Completion of basic bookwork and electronic returns may be required.
You will earn 12.67 per hour casual staff receive payments in lieu of annual leave for hours worked and have access to a range of benefits including:
This work is about ensuring residents service users and staff are provided with meals throughout the day.
The Person
The successful candidate will be required to have catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ City & Guilds or equivalent.

You will be required to attend a full days Induction Training before starting in post.
Before confirming your appointment you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
