As a Payroll Coordinator at GameStop youll play a key role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. Youll be responsible for validating employee records processing hours worked and maintaining payroll data across multiple states. This role is ideal for someone detailoriented highly organized and passionate about delivering a toptier employee experience through reliable payroll operations.
This position sits onsite 5 days a week in Grapevine TX.
What Youll Do
Verify accuracy of payroll data through extensive auditing.
Compute pay according to company policy as well as ensure compliance with state and/or federal regulations.
Maintain working knowledge of payroll concepts and stay uptodate on changes that may have an effect on payroll processing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers supervisor and individuals at all levels of the organization.
Work as a team member to maintain the highest quality of customer service and productivity; provide coverage for other team members as needed.
Communicate to Payroll Supervisor any issues or problems that may arise.
Provide analytical support for compliance initiatives and Legal requests
Perform other related duties and assist with special projects as required
What Youll Bring
High school diploma or GED required.
13 years of experience in payroll processing or HR support.
Experience with Workday and/or Kronos/UKG preferred.
Background in retail or highvolume multistate payroll environments a plus.
Willingness to work extra hours during peak times or on special projects.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
Sharp attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
Solid understanding of payroll practices and related federal/state regulations.
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies with professionalism and teamwork.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Outlook and Word.
Commitment to confidentiality integrity and GameStops internal policies.
